This policy explains what personal information Perspective Processing Inc., doing business as PPI Parking ("PPI", "we") collects through ppiparking.com and at the Lot at 214 S. Locust St, Inglewood, CA 90301, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to drivers and visitors. Questions: [email protected].
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address and mobile number.
- Vehicle details: license plate and plate state, make, model, color and vehicle type for each vehicle you register.
- Bookings: nights booked, amounts paid and refunded, check-in times, and your agreement to our terms, including the date, terms version and the internet (IP) address used.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive a payment confirmation and limited details such as card brand and last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.
- Communications: messages you send us and your text-message preference.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type and pages viewed, recorded by our hosting provider for security and to keep the Site working.
- Security video: cameras at the Lot record video of the Lot, including vehicles and people, for safety and to investigate incidents.
We do not collect your precise location from your phone. The map on our Site shows the Lot's location only.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account, send sign-in codes, and process bookings, payments, refunds and receipts.
- To check vehicles at the Lot and enforce our Parking Terms and Lot Rules.
- To send booking emails and, if you opt in, text messages.
- To prevent fraud, protect people and property, investigate incidents and respond to claims.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting duties, including City of Inglewood parking tax records.
- To improve the Site and our service.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the service under contracts that limit their use of it: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and database), our email provider (sign-in codes and passes), and our text-message provider if you opt in.
- With our attendant and staff, who see the name, plate and vehicle for each night's bookings.
- With insurers, claims adjusters, tow companies or law enforcement when needed to handle an incident, claim or tow, or when the law requires it.
- With a buyer or successor if the Lot or our business is transferred, under this policy.
Security video
Cameras record the Lot for security. Footage is kept for a limited time (usually up to 30 days) and then overwritten, unless we need it for an incident, claim or legal request. We release footage only to police, insurers or as the law requires. Our cameras record video for security and are not used to identify drivers by their license plates.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Booking, payment and tax records are kept for up to seven years to meet tax and accounting rules and to handle disputes. When you delete your account, we remove your contact details and vehicles and keep only the booking and payment records the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- View and update your details and vehicles, or delete your account, at My account.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days and may need to confirm your identity.
- Stop texts by replying STOP. Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message. Booking emails stop when you have no active bookings.
- We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
California residents. California's Shine the Light law lets you ask whether we shared personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, you have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We honor these requests as described above.
Do Not Track and cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser stores your recent passes on your device for convenience. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because we do not track you across other sites, we respond to Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals the same way for everyone.
The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and map images from CARTO and OpenStreetMap. Those services receive your IP address when your browser loads them.
Children
Our service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child gave us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Security and breaches
We protect information with encrypted connections, access limits and hosted payment pages. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as California law requires.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell you on the Site or by email before it applies.
